The Daily Rollercoaster

Aiming to be happy all the time is a very unrealistic proposition. Most of us spend our days riding an emotional roller coaster with many things that can affect how our mood shifts throughout the day.

Day-to-day hassles and unexpected surprises, both the good kind and the unpleasant ones, can definitely change our mood. We are constantly propelled along by our emotions with our mental and physical state becoming a product of the way we feel.

For example, because of unique rhythms, one may feel upbeat early in the day and slow and lethargic in the early afternoon and everything in between those times. This rollercoaster isn’t always comprised of negative or positive emotions but rather a mix.

The fact is that living life on an emotional roller coaster is normal. So instead of aiming to be energetic and fantastic all the time, let’s face that over the course of your day you’ll be confronted with good times and bad. And remember, your low points definitely make you appreciate the highs even more.
